Wedge Tomb @ Parknabinnia, Burren National Park, Co. Clare

A little further down the road is a sign for another tomb (following pictures). Interestingly, there are two old signposts (without signs) that indicate that there was something to seee on the other side of the road. There are a couple of items that are more or less in line with the tomb and Knockloon hill about a mile away (it's also in line with Leamaneh Castle, but since that was built a couple of thousand years after the tomb, we can put that down to coincidence). Just inside the wall is a large stone, probably a glacial erratic, though it has a base that looks like it carved flat (though it probably wasn't). It does mark the highest point on the slope.
