This panoramic montage from Parknabinnia, looking east, shows the distinctive mix of exposed limestone (the grey-white patches)
and the hazel scrub. An occasional green filed, hard won from nature, can be discerned. If the field remain in use, whether for hay or
for grazing, the hazel doesn't have an opportunity to recolonize the land. On the left, you can see Mullagh More, with it's distinctive
curved layers of rock; on th eright, you can see Inchiquin Lough.
