Once I reached the cairn, I descended down some of the 'step' to a lower plateau on the northern side of the hill and walked back in the direction from whence I'd come. Where there are cattle, there needs to be water - a bullock drinks an awful lot of water every day.I'm not sure if this water was pumped up from the valley or from a spring nearby (probably the latter). The stone square is a big, concrete water tank, which decants into a smaller tank for the animals on the other side. Behind the tank, down in the valley, can be seen the outline of the churches.
