North Atlantic Skyline, despatches from the west of Ireland

New Quay, Co. Clare

At low tide, only a narrow channel seperates Aughinish from New Quay. As the tide surges in, the flow of water is strong and fast. The ridge of water visible in the middle of the picture is where the water is surging over the (submerged) low tide wall on the quay behind Linnane's pub.

This is the same scene, taken a week later, at low tide.
