According to 2 , the church is built on the site of an early monastic site dedicated to St. Inghean Bhaoth (meaning foolish daughter). There used to be a Tau cross located about a mile away - it is now in the Corrofin Heritage Centre which was closed on the Saturday that I visited. Note the Sheela-na-Gig over the doorway.
