North Atlantic Skyline, despatches from the west of Ireland

Twenty inches of rain has fallen on the West of Ireland in the months of September, October and November 2006. These photos were taken on a cold Saturday afternoon (December 16th) around the Gort area. As bad as it looks, there has been worse flooding in the past, and these photographs record the floods as they were beginning to subside.
