Burrishoole Abbey is located
about a mile and a half out of Newport on the road to Achill
Island (N59) in County Mayo. It is located in the Burrishoole
Channel, a narrow strip of water that links Newport Bay (part of
Clew Bay) to Furnace Lough. I don't anything about Burrishoole
Abbey except for what I read on the plaque (second picture).
