This is a set of before and after pictures of flooding in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. By pure chance, I had taken some pictures of the park beside the Golden Island shopping centre in the town on October 20, 2006. When the Shannon burst its banks in December, I went back to take some pcitures from the same location on December 12th, 2006.
