Looking across Galway Bay towards the city. Though it's not visible in this picture, you can see a number of landmarks unaided. The eircom telecommunications mast is clearly visible, as well as two large slabs of oxidising copper, namely the dome of St. Nicholas' cathedral and the new extension on the GMIT college on the Dublin Rd, whose sea-facing wall is clad in copper.
Closer to shore, you can see the narrow causeway road linking Doorus (on the right) to Aughinish.
