I can't believe you got this shot! On no less than three occasions while driving by Kylemore, I have commented to my travel buddy, "I need to make that climb and take a picture down and of the wee dot of a Jesus up on the side of the bin." She was not enthused about making the trek in damp conditions. now here it is. Okay no more excuses, next drive I am stopping and climbing the bleeding moutian!
Thanks though, I have wondered so much how it looks close up :)

Ouch. I've looked at that climb a few times. How long did it take?

Actually, we (i.e. the Galway Walking Club) set off from the hill behind Kylemore and walked all the way around until we got to Kylemore hill itself. The easier way is to go into the Abbey and walk up the steps to the statue and viewing point directly (about 30 mins walk on a dry day)
